    Karleigh Phillips - 10-12 winner The 10-12 winner was Karleigh Phillips, from the Mississippi delta region, fishing with the Tite-Lok/ BnM Pole team of Ronnie Capps and Steve Coleman. Karleigh weighed in 5 fish for 5.18 pounds. She is the second female to win the big prize of a $4000 scholarship.

Kids Fishing and Education is hosting a high school tournament August 21, 2016 on Truman Lake. Tournament will be open to all freshmen through senior students with no entry fees or membership charges. Students from any state or any school are invited to come and fish for $4,000 in scholarships. A bonus $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the highest placing team fishing in a G3 Boat.

Registration and rules meeting Sunday 5:30-7:00 am at Bucksaw Marina & Resort 670 SE 803 RD off Hwy 7, Clinton, MO. Remember that you will need a parent/guardian to sign a release for you to fish. An entry form/wavier can be downloaded for printing HERE

Fishing hours will be from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM on August 21. You must be in the weigh in line by 3:30 PM. Weigh in will be held at Bucksaw Marina and Resort.

Each team will be required to have a boating captain 19 years or older. Life jackets, PFDs, will be required to be worn by students at all times while in the boat. Boating captain can assist in all aspects of fishing except for: handling fishing poles, baiting hooks and netting fish. Trailering and launching is permitted at any access on Truman Lake.

Teams can weigh a limit of 7 crappie and are to be brought to weigh in line in a cooler, buckets and tournaments bag are not acceptable. This is a crappie only tournament.
